Rich in protein, antioxidants, fiber, and good-for-your-thyroid selenium. And yummy. Really yummy. You can vary this recipe quite a bit so see the Shake it up! notes at the end of the recipe
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
½ cup Brazil nuts 2 cups water ½ cup chia seeds ¼ cup raw cacao powder ½ teaspoon ground Ceylon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon sea salt 4 pitted dates (or 1 tablespoon maple syrup or a drop or 2 of liquid stevia to taste)
In a high-speed blender, place water and then all remaining ingredients. Blend on high speed until you get smooth, creamy shake. Pour into glasses. Serve & Enjoy!
Shake it up! Add a frozen banana instead of the dates or other sweeteners. Adjust sweetness to your taste.
Make ahead of time and refrigerate. The chia will thicken the shake into a pudding consistency.
